In honor of Mother’s Day, Mimi Yoga is offering a nurturing restorative yoga workshop. You don’t
have to be a Mom to take a time out and take care of yourself.
Restorative yoga is a practice designed to completely melt away tension and calm the mind. The workshop will begin with a gentle vinyasa flow to warm and open the body. Then supported postures
are offered using props (bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, etc.) to allow muscles to relax deeply and the mind to decompress from our daily patterns of over stimulation. The workshop will end with
yoga nidra, a guided meditation that induces a profound sense of total-body relaxation. You will feel completely rejuvenated and refreshed!
Open to all levels. No prior yoga experience is necessary.

YOGA FOR RUNNERS AND ATHLETES
Studio owner Lisa Usherovich will lead you through a yoga class designed to introduce you to the benefits of yoga as a supplement to your training. Yoga is the perfect companion runners of all levels, athletes of all sports, and fitness enthusiasts. Lisa’s class will cover yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques designed to help you perform better whether you are a novice, intermediate or pro athlete.

Lisa is a 200 RYT with Yoga Alliance with a love for sport and running. As a youth she competitively competed in ice hockey, softball and tennis. She began running 5 years ago around the same time she began practicing yoga and quickly learned that while the two are on opposite ends of the exercise spectrum combining the two make a good marriage of strength and flexibility. She has completed several half marathons and various other races and is looking forward to the Warrior Dash this August. Her students include causal athletes, kick-boxers, triathletes, marathon runners and personal trainers. Lisa’s goal is to make yoga an integral part of cross training for everyone.
