Deanna graduated from Lotus College of Yoga,
where she trained with Laughing Lotus founder, Dana Flynn, Alison
Cramer, and many incredible teachers who share that teaching is an
offering of the heart. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga
Alliance (RYT). She celebrates the practice of yoga as a powerful tool
for opening the body, mind, and heart, and embracing one’s true Self.
When Deanna first began her yoga practice, she had chronic back pain
due to scoliosis and back injuries. A consistent practice has helped
her immensely, deepening her understanding of our innate ability for
healing and transformation.
Always
filled with high energy, Lexi began practicing yoga in 1997 in Center
City Philadelphia to balance her regular cardio and free weight intense
workout. Lexi loved the calm that yoga gave her and found yoga to be the
perfect anecdote to her fast-paced publicity career.
After moving to Hoboken, NJ in 2001, Lexi continued to develop her yoga
practice while adding marathon training to her regimen and continuing
with a busy career. Recently, Lexi took a leap of faith and changed her
career path to teaching yoga to individuals, moms, babies and groups.
Lexi completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification through the
Bright Spirit Teacher Training program at Devotion Yoga in Hoboken with
Carrie Parker Gastelu and Jillian Pransky.
Lexi has earned certifications in:
Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater;
Prenatal Yoga with Carrie Parker Gastelu;
Baby Om with Laura Staton and Sarah Perron;
Postpartum Yoga with Mary Barnes;
Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky;
Balance Integration Corporate Yoga with Tevis Gale; and
Itsy Bitsy Yoga ® with Helen Garabedian.
Lexi’s love of yoga can be seen in her approach to each of her classes.
She takes the time to learn about each of her students’ needs and
creates customized programs enabling her students to develop a strong
and balanced yoga practice.

illness. She teaches an annual two-day chair yoga teacher training
and workshops on a variety of topics, including mudras, chakras,
back-care, and stress reduction.
When Julia took her first series of yoga classes in the 1970s, she felt as though she had come home to her body. During her career in psychology publishing, she continued yoga studies in Manhattan and at Kripalu and Omega, with an early introduction to restorative yoga with Judith Lasater and to the chakras with Todd Norian.
Ten years ago, Julia made a career change and trained to be a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. She soon followed through with training in Integrative Yoga Therapy and began teaching in the New York area. Subsequently, she became a Relax and Renew Trainer with Judith Lasater, apprenticed in medicinal herbs with Robin Rose Bennett, and became certified in Yoga of the Heart with Nischala Joy Devi. In addition she has trained in restorative yoga with Jillian Pransky and with Sudha Carolyn Lundeen, and she is certified in Integral Yoga’s Gentle Yoga and Extra Gentle Yoga Training.
