At
MiMi Kids Yoga we have created classes that grow with your child. Our
unique and fun classes approach yoga, gymnastics and our newest fusion yogastics in a way that caters to their
developing minds and bodies; no matter what age! We have many choices
for preschool, after school and weekend activities for your child that they are
sure to love.
BIG KID YOGA (2 hour drop-off) New Session Begins January 2nd!

In this 16 week program kids are given a chance to learn yoga on their own. No mommies
allowed! Take a trip to the zoo, a hike through the jungle or feed the
animals on the farm; the possibilities are endless as we foster your
child’s creativity through yoga. This 2 hour class will include yoga, a
healthy snack and story time in English/Spanish, arts and crafts and
end with breathing exercises and yummy smelling foot rubs to relax and
center your child. Class is limited to 8 - 10 kids and is taught by two
certified instructors and one assistant to ensure each
child is given
personalized attention.
This class is a great way to get your little one ready for Preschool.
Choose one day per week that your child will attend for the session (if
you need to change your day plese let us know in advance).
Family Yoga (Crawlers - 2 1/2 Years; 3-6 years)
YOGA FUN FOR EVERYONE! with an emphasis on partner poses, music and
games makes this weekend class a great opportunity for parents and kids
to take some time to reconnect while keeping their bodies healthy and
strong. Bring your mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, sibling or even your best
friend!
Yoga Mom (babysitting available) -
With a focus on postnatal recovery. This Vinyasa inspired flow class
will help moms to rebuild their bodies after giving birth. We offer free
babysitting for those who would like to bring their babies.
Postnatal Yoga (mom and baby) - Postnatal
Yoga helps moms to rebuild strength and aid in the body's recovery
after birth. Yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation support
healing, toning and relaxation. Bond with your baby in a safe and
loving environment. Yoga mats, blankets and props for mom and baby are provided free of charge. This is considered a adult yoga class as the focus is on mommies. Downward Puppies (18mo - 3 years)
Bring your teeny Yogini to this fun filled animated class! Create
closeness and fond memories with your toddler as you roar like a lion,
moo like a cow or soar through the air like a jet plane. We always end
our class with yummy foot rubs to relax your little one. Music, stories
and games bring awareness to the body, improve coordination and
develop fine motor skills. Caregivers welcome!
Tiny Tumblers / Tumbling Tots (crawlers-19months; 19months-2 1/2 years) Our newest Parent and Child classes! This gymnastics inspired class
will have your child rolling, tucking and tumbling. This high energy
class combines Yoga and Tumbling to help your child build strength and
muscle tone while improving coordination.
MiMi Tumblers / Yogastics (3-6 Years) Our newest fusion of Yoga and Gymnastics. Like peanut butter and jelly, this combination goes perfectly together. This class will have your child rolling, tucking and tumbling while learning yoga poses and breathing exercises. Kids build muscle tone, confidence and core strength while improving coordination and balance; in this fun and high energy class.
Yoga En Espanol (3-6 Years) Mixing Yoga with Spanish is a fun and innovative way to help your
child learn and understand the language. This class will not only
improve strength and flexibility, it will also encourage your child's
natural ability to learn another language. (no prior knowledge of
Spanish is needed) Twisty Kids (4-6 Years)
Let's twist, bend and take yoga adventures to magical lands in this
energy releasing yoga class. Kids will relax and calm their bodies
through breathing and visualization exercises as well as music. Self
expression and silliness are encouraged and giggles are guaranteed as
kids build strength and flexibility. We will also develop team work
skill and respect for peers through partner poses and group games.
Peaceful Warriors (7-10 years)
Yoga is greatly beneficial to kids of this age. At a time where children have less opportunity to be active because of school and other commitments Yoga can help them maintain flexibility and strength. They build self confidence, body awareness and a greater sense of self through the practice of more challenging poses. Through the use of breathing and visualization techniques kids learn to improve concentration and focus that they can bring into their everyday lives.
Breath and Balance (12 and Up) MKY
teen classes help transition from kids yoga to adult yoga in this class
that will help tweens/teens handle stress, build self confidence and
unwind after a long day at school. With
a focus on fostering self expression and freedom, this class allows
teens to take a step back from daily life and get their AHHHHH on!
Tweens/Teens practice challenging sequences, breathing techniques,
balancing postures, relaxation, self awareness and positivity. Have
fun with awesome music, group/partner games and poses.
